I have seen a few threads. However, it does not really clear my confusion on how the sync messages are persisted in PI java only system. The PI version is 7.3.1 SP14.
According to doc, here are the parameters:
messaging.synMessageRemover.messageCount - no of sync messages kept in message store
messaging.synMessageRemover.checkInterval - interval in minutes on how often final sync messages are removed
messagin.log.retainTime - number of days logged sync messages are retained.
Let's say we have 5000 sync messages in a day. If I configure the retainTime to be 60 days, for example, does that mean all 5000 messages will be available in the message monitor for 60 days even though the messaging.synMessageRemover.messageCount is set to 1000 by default?
For the term "logged sync messages", does that mean I have to configure the parameter xiadapter.logger.conf as it is set to " " by default? I guess I can also turn on the logging config in the ICO. Otherwise, the parameter messaging.log.retainTime is irrelevant.
Please advise?
