Distribute Customer via PI using SOA?

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the area of SOA and have a question about replicating / distributing customer data from ERP to a 3rd party system.

According to here http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?id=C6AD4481D85711DB2B24000F20DAC9EF&fragID=&pac… there seems to be a XOR situation of using either CIF or ALE for customer distribution. Using the above ES does state that by using CIF the proxy CustomerERPReplicationRequest_Out will not be called.

I just checked at our ERP system and when hitting TA CFC9 BTE (CIF) is selected for customers (probably due to some existing CIF interface to some other SAP system).

Question:

1. Is it true that I cannot use this Service Interface via PI when already using CIF?

2. If not, how to cope with this?
