Hi All,

I would like to take your advice in a Seeburger upgrade from 2.1.3 to 2.1.7, with no upgrades on SAP PI side. SAP PI 7.1 EHP1 service pack 6.

I was following the master installation guide but found it to be too confusing. I don't have a basis person, so was trying to do it on my own. Could you please share the steps needed for this activity.

What I could follow from the Master installation Guide is as below:

1. Took a complete backup of Seeburger workbench and  complete SAP PI backup.

2. Uploaded the new metadata provided in new version. Created a new SWCV for the new metadata

3. Haven't made any changes in channels as wanted to see the system stability and then try changing some channels to the new adapter metadata.

4. Deployed the files provided in DVD_GENERICEDI_SEEB_2.1.7\data\Tools\deploy( SeeBaseToolsPI.sca, SeeExtendedToolsPI.sca, SeeModuleCollectionPI.sca and SeeSolutionIdModulePI-generic-edi.sca)

5. After deploying above files first then deployed the below mapping files( Mappings_partner.sca, Mappings_sys.sca, Mappings_user.sca, SeeBICPI.sca, FTPAdapterPI.sca and AS2AdapterPI.sca)

Do I need to recompile the mappings already deployed in 2.1.3. If so how do we do that.

Do I need to deploy anything more or import any specific jar files to complete this process.

Thx in advance

Ravijeet
