XSLT mapping for truncate fields

Hi Experts,

My scenario if JDBC to EDI 940.

I will read multiple rows and craete one EDI 940 for one row, and based on plant_id i need to send to 4 customers.

I have used multi mapping for that.

Below is the target structure for 5 rows.

Messages

    -->Message1

            -->LIST

            -->LIST

            -->LIST

            -->LIST

            -->LIST

Now my question is how to truncate below structure while sending.

Messages

    -->Message1

I heard in operation mapping by using xslt mapping we can truncate un necessary fields. can you provide code if you have any.
