How to mask password for adapter module parameter value in channel configuration

Hi Team,

I am currently writing a module where one of the parameter would be a password. My requirement is to mask the password value when I set it in the channel configuration.

I have seen there are some module (e.g WS-Security for AXIS) where the password value is masked.

Please help me by providing the code snippet / the guidance (what JAVA API should be used).

I have attached one screen shot which shows the password is masked in the channel .
